OOC: Deciding what to do
I'm dropping Emma, or at least putting her on hiatus for a while.
After all that's happened...pretty much everyone she cared about's left her in some way. Hal's hardly around anymore, Gil left the game, and Paramedic won't give her the time of day. Normally that wouldn't be a problem and I'd continue as normal, but I've sometimes had problems separating IC from OOC with Emma especially. I think it's because she doesn't have a lot of characterization and there's some superficial similarities between us.
Emma's situation in the game is starting to mirror my real life too closely, and I'm worried that some of my angst will start to leak through to her. That isn't fair to the players, so I'm gonna retire her for a while until my situation changes or I find inspiration to be a snarky schemer again. There are other otaku characters to fill the gap, and I have Hermione if I feel like being smart.
